Trip Overview

Lobuche is a beautiful mountain which consists of two summits, East and West with heights of 6,119 m and 6,145 m respectively. ideal for those people who have done 4000m climbing  or have climbed in the Alps and are looking for their next expedition to tackle their first Himalayan Peak. This peak climbing includes some technical difficulties on quite steep snow slopes and one should possess some ice skills and use of fixed ropes for climbing along a steep, vertical and snowy trail.

The peak of Lobuche East is reached by descending a marked notch and climbing steep snowy slopes to the top. On most occasions, the mountain is climbed on the summit ridge only as far as a subsidiary snow summit, south?east of the true peak and before the notch. This peak is identified as the false peak. Laurence Nielson and Ang Gyalzen Sherpa made the first ascent to Lobuje East on 25 April 1984 although there are possibilities that others have reached the summit before. But no records are available.

Adventure Sherpa Tracks offers Lobuche East Climbing  with proper acclimatize trip to two 5000 m passes  & Everest Base Camp Trek  which provides excellent panoramic views of Everest along with other high mountains and gives you  trekking and climbing experience at one go .  If you are looking for climbing less crowed Peak than Island Peak, Then the best option would be Lobuche Peak with an ample experience and taste of Ice Climbing.

The superb views from Mt. Lobuche make it one of the the most quintessentially-popular Himalayan treks, despite   it is a bit more challenging than Island Peak climb, it is equally rewarding. From the peak you get amazing views of Everest alongside Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam and Pumori and other several peaks.

The best months to climb this peak is August through November & March to june
