Today will be a special day because we conquer Poon Hill an icon of Annapurna region. To catch the magnificent splendor of sunrise over the Annapurna & Daulagiri Himalayas, we make an early morning climb along the steep trail to the viewpoint of Poon Hill. Poon Hill is a great viewpoint from where we will be able to enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the Mustang part and Pokhara valleys including the closest views of more than 20 highest mountains including the close-up views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The snowy peaks of the high mountains loom above and around us glowing in the morning light. After taking photos and having some coffee or tea or hot chocolate, we return back to Gorepani. After the  breakfast, you will head east and climb a nearby ridge with lots of Steps. We descend through rhododendron forest, pass by spectacular waterfalls along the way and reach Tadapani for overnight.

Parting from Tadapani, today, you hike towards Chomrong village. The trail starts off with a descent through a large rhododendron forest. The forest trail ends and our trail opens up to beautifully terraced fields. We walk uphill for around 5 km and pass waterfalls and reach a suspension bridge. Suspension bridges are very common in the hilly and mountainous regions of Nepal. A few more miles of uphill and downhill trekking and we reach our destination for today, Chhomrong. It is a beautiful village right below the giant Annapurna massive. The village of Chomrong is tucked down at the very base of Huinchuli. Overnight in Chhomrong.

Descend to the river and then climb up to Sinuwa from where you walk through thick forest festooned with orchids and ferns on the western bank of Modi River to Khuldi. Then, it’s a descent down a long, steep, slippery stone staircase into deep bamboo and rhododendron forests. After the small settlement of Bamboo, the trail climbs gradually to reach Doban. Overnight.

You trek steadily to Deurali, which is the home to troops of Langur Monkeys. At Deurali the forest disappears and the valley opens up, with the mountains now appearing very close by. Deurali is at the foot of the Modi Himal and Machhapuchhare, one of the most famous mountains in the Himalayas. Some teams prefer to continue to Machhapuchhare Base Camp in the afternoon, if everyone is feeling good. Overnight.

Climb gently through a river bed then over a steep trail over to the mountain side. The hike from Bagar to Machhapuchhre Base Camp is somewhat strenuous. From Machhapuchhre base camp we get excellent views of the majestic Machhapuchhre along with Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli and Gangapurna which is certainly a rewarding experience. The vegetation disappears on our way to ABC and the path widens as we enter the Annapurna sanctuary. From here, we get sensational views of the near-vertical south face of Annapurna towering above us. The sanctuary boasts of a dynamic view without anything impeding the 360-degree panorama. From the base camp we again get to savor mesmerizing views of the Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South , Annapurna I, Hiunchuli and other peaks. Overnight at ABC

From the Annapurna base camp we retrace our steps back  to Bamboo. Today’s trek is downhill, so it shouldn’t be very difficult. Besides, we will always have the company of the extraordinary landscape to cheer us up.  Overnight in Bamboo.

From Bamboo we ascend to Kuldi Ghar and then to Sinuwa on a sharp trail. We follow the stone steps that lead to Lower Chomrong. Then we ascend on the thousand stone steps that will take us to Upper Chomrong. From Chomrong we descend to Jhinu Danda. While here we can relax on a natural hot spring which is only 15 minutes away from where we are staying. Overnight in Jhinu Danda.

Our trekking trip is almost over now that the Himalayan views are behind you. You’ll only be on the trail for about two hours today, slowly descending alongside the Modi Khola’s riverbank at a leisurely pace. Then ascend the path that takes you towards the Matque then you will be driven to Pokhara .Overnight in Pokhara

After breakfast, we start our drive back to Kathmandu. Most of our trip will be alongside the Trishuli River. After reaching Kathmandu, we can a take rest or catch up on last minute souvenir shopping. Overnight in Kathmandu.
