Trip Overview

Rooted in the northeast of Kathmandu, Dhampus Peak, also known as Thapa Peak, towers in the midst of the glorious Himalayan trail. It is situated in between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range offering us with the views of wide varieties of vegetation and landscapes making each spot open to observe the scenic beauty of this region.

This  peak climbing journey offers an adventure, a cultural excursion and scenic escapade to this beautiful region.In this mountain expedition, travellers will be restless to take pictures of breathtaking scenery of Tukuche peak and Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Annapurna 1,2,3 & 4, Tilicho Peak  and Nilgiri South and North.

Itinerary Overview

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,350m/4,429ft)

Day 02: Kathmandu trek Preparation ( 1,350m/4,429ft)

Day 3: Fly to Pokhara. Jeeps to Khara (1,200m/3,900ft)

Day 4: Trek to Jugapani (1,675m/5,495ft), 6hrs

Day 5: Trek to Chetarang (1,880m/6,168ft), 7hrs

Day 6: Trek to Dobang (2,520m8,268ft), 6hrs

Day 7: Trek to Sallaghari (3,144m/10,315ft), 5- 6 hrs

Day 8:Trek to Italian Camp (3,631m/11,913ft), 3hrs

Day 9:Trek to Japanese Camp (3,940m,12/927ft), 6hrs

Day 10: Dhaulagiri Base Camp (4,700m/15,400ft), 3hrs

Day 11: Acclimatisation day

Day 12:Rest and acclimatization day Dhaulagiri Base Camp

Day 13:Trek to French Pass (5,360m/17,585ft) and to Hidden Valley (5,140m/16,860ft), 7hrs

Day 14: Early start, ascend to Dhampus Pass (5,240m/17,190ft) climb to the summit of Dhampus Peak (6,012m/19,724ft), 6hrs, descend to Yak Kharka (4,430m/14,530ft), 4hrs

Day 15: Descend to Marpha (2,670m/8,760ft)  3hrs

Day 16: Marpha to Pokhara by jeep,

Day 17: Contingency day

Day 18: Fly to Kathmandu

Day 19: Transfer to airport for final departure
