Trip Overview

Annapurna Balcony Trek at popular Annapurna region is actually an opportunity to gain Annapurna region trekking experience regardless any boundaries of age, time and fitness level. Trek is short and easy but equally romantic trekking in Annapurna region. You will get the chance to see Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and other several white capped peaks in front of your eyes. The trek to Annapurna balcony passes through waterfalls, villages, farmlands, rhododendron forests, and vistas invigorates your soul. Since the trek starts from a mere height of around 800 meters the acclimatization process is gradual and you will reach to the high altitude of over 3210 meters

This Short and easy Annapurna Balcony  Trek is best recommended as a family trip and for all those adventure lovers who have limited time to stay in Nepal or who prefer comparatively easy trekking experience with excellent Himalayan views. Therefore most of the travel lovers are recommended for this short and easy trek which is less crowed compared to Annapurna base camp.

Itinerary Overview

Day 01:  Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

Day 02: Casual day and trip preparation in Kathmandu

Day 03: Fly to Pokhara (823m/2,700ft) and trek to Ulleri (2050m/6725 ft): 6 hrs

Day 04: Ulleri to Ghorepani (2,750m/9,020 ft): 4 – 5 hours trek

Day 05: Ghorepani to Tadapani (2,700m/8,860ft) with a visit to Poon Hill: 6 – 7 hours

Day 06: Tadapani to Jhinu – Hotspring (1780m/5839 ft) 4-6 hrs

Day 07: Jhinu  to Tolka (1700m/5577 ft) 5-6 hrs

Day 08: Tolka – Pothana (1890m/6200 ft) 4-5 hrs

Day 09: Pothana – Phedi (1130m/3707 ft ) – Pokhara  (827 m./ 2713 ft) 4hrs

Dy 10: Drive back to kathmandu

Day 11: Transfer to airport for final departure

Note:Please take care to note that your Sherpa guides  has the authority to amend or cancel any part of the itinerary if it is deemed necessary due to your safety concerns. Every effort will be made to keep to the above itinerary; however, since this adventure entails travelling in remote mountainous regions, we cannot guarantee  it. Weather, health condition of a group member, unexpected natural disasters, etc., can all contribute to changes in the itinerary. Day to Day itinerary

After landing at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu and  completing your custom formalities pick up your luggage and look for representative of Adventure Sherpa Tracks who who will be with display board at the arrival gate. You  will be greeted by our representative and he/she  will pick you and transfer  to your  hotel. Then check-in at the hotel, freshen up and take a rest. In evening or noon , you  are introduced to your  fellow participants ,guides and discuss about our trip at Hotel where you stay.

After breakfast Adventure Sherpa Tracks’s tour guide will you pick from the hotel for full day sightseeing around Kathmandu . you will  tour among these world hesitate sites Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath stupa and Bouddhanath stupa , The Durbar Square sheds light on the life of the royals in ancient times. Pashupatinath temple is one of the most important places of pilgrimage for all Hindus. Swayambhunath is also known as the Monkey Temple and Baudhanath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in the world. Depending on your preference it might be a other sites like Bhaktapur too .Back to hotel and preparation for the trek .

Note  :Depending on your time availability  and schedule of your trek this activities can be done after the trek too.

Today you will  take an early morning flight to Pokhara and enjoy amazing views of the Himalayas from the right side of our plane. After 25 minutes of flight you will arrive at the beautiful lake city, you will be surrounded   with magnificent views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, the five peaks of Annapurna and others. After taking a rest, Hile  After lunch, we  will trek to Ulleri via Tikhedhunga. From Tikhedunga you will trek all the way up with thousands of steps and boulders that continually go upward which will really prove a test of our stamina. Overnight in Ulleri.

After breakfast, we ascend to the Ghorepani village. The name Ghorepani in Nepali means ‘horse-water’ due to it being an important campsite for traders before it became a trekker’s stop. Ghorepani is a big  town  with small shops and stalls for selling local products and crafts. The town has two parts upper and  lower .You will stay at upper part that offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains including Annapurna South and Nilgiri mountains. . Overnight in Ghorepani.

Today will be a special day because we conquer Poon Hill an icon of Annapurna region. To catch the magnificent splendor of sunrise over the Annapurna & Daulagiri Himalayas, we make an early morning climb along the steep trail to the viewpoint of Poon Hill. Poon Hill is a great viewpoint from where we will be able to enjoy wonderful panoramic views of the Mustang part and Pokhara valleys including the closest views of more than 20 highest mountains including the close-up views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The snowy peaks of the high mountains loom above and around us glowing in the morning light. After taking photos and having some coffee or tea or hot chocolate, we return back to Gorepani. After the  breakfast, you will head east and climb a nearby ridge with lots of Steps. We descend through rhododendron forest, pass by spectacular waterfalls along the way and reach Tadapani for overnight.

After breakfast we start our trek .Ah hour of walking down will lead us to a beautiful villageChuile,from where we can see Mt fishtail ,south annapurna,Hiuchuli .For another one hour through dense rhododendron forest leads us to Kimrong Khola,crossing the suspension bridge we start to climb for an hour and we follow the easy plain trail to chomrong. Here we will visit the village for an hour, and we will descend to Jhinu for about 30 minutes. Overnight at Jhinu

Early morning we will give you morning call.We will have an easy walk for 20 minutes, then we will enjoy hot spring. We will descend for thirty minutes and we follow plain easy trail to New bridge, crossing the suspension bridge the trails leads us to landruk,for lunch break. An easy walk on a plain surface for an hour leads us to Tolka.
Overnight at Tolka

After an hour of walk through rhododendron forest, crossing beautiful country side with a view of snow capped mountain we reach bhaisi Kharka. After a climb of 30 minutes we reach Deurali for lunch. We follow the trail for an hour to reach Pothana.

After an easy walk for an hour we reach Dhampus.Dhampus is very famous for a short hike from Pokhara give A clear view of mountains on Annapurna range.From Dhampus the trails heads steep down to Phedi, From Phedi we take a coach to Pokhara.Enjoy Boating in Pokhara.
Overnight in Pokhara

Today, we will drive to Kathmandu from Pokhara. On the way, from the left side of the vehicle, we will get to see enjoyable sight of the river gorges, mountains, rustic settlements and green terrace landscapes. Then you will be transferred to the hotel where you can just relax once you arrive at Kathmandu. Overnight stay at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Your adventure in Nepal comes to an end today! Approximately three hours before your scheduled international flight, Our representative from Adventure Sherpa Tracks  will drop you off at the Tribhuwan International airport  and does  a farewell.
