Helambu Trekking is a short and easy adventure nearby Kathmandu valley ideal for all those travel lovers who wish to experience the beauty of nature, local culture avoiding any risks of altitude sickness and hassles of flight delays. The spectacular landscape, Himalayan views and cultural experiences are incomparably beautiful and worthwhile.

We start our Helambu Trekking after arriving at Kathmandu followed by next day’s cultural sightseeing around UNESCO world heritage sites. At first, we take a short an hour drive from your hotel to Sundarijal which is the starting point of our trek. We will then ascend through few stone steps witnessing the beauty of nature. Alongside Bagmati River, striking waterfalls, holy temple and dam site, it is also a popular picnic spot for locals. Then in a short while, we enter ShivaPuri National Park, head further upward to Mulkhara and explore the local cultures, traditions and lifestyle of Tamang people. Moving ahead, we arrive at Chiso pani walking through oaks and rhododendron trees, meadows and beautiful views of Langtang Himalayan range especially from Yurin Danda. From this point, we descend through Melamchi River and trek up towards Sherpa settlements exploring the Hyolmo culture, visiting monasteries and finally arriving at Melamchi Pul bazaar before heading back to Kathmandu.

Helambu Trekking can be joined during any time of the year, however, during the spring season in the months of March, April and May, rhododendron blossoms magically adding an extra bit of beauty and refreshment to our trip. Whereas, during dry season of autumn; it would be enjoyable to walk through trails with clear views of Himalayas and landscapes.
