Ama dablam Expedition

Ama Dablam is a mountain in the Himalaya range of eastern Nepal. Ama Dablam  is regarded as one of the world’s most beautiful and sought-after peaks, along side the Matterhorn and Khan Tengri .The main peak is 6,812 metres (22,349 ft), the lower western peak is 6,170 metres (20,243 ft). Ama Dablam means “Mother’s necklace”; the long ridges on each side like the arms of a mother (ama) protecting her child, and the hanging glacier thought of as the dablam, the traditional double-pendant containing pictures of the gods, worn by Sherpa women. For several days, Ama Dablam dominates the eastern sky for anyone trekking to Mt Everest base camp and khumbu region.

The experienced mountaineer will find the South East Rigde, which is the easiest route on the mountain, a good challenge. Although the height is only 6812m, it is considered one of the technically difficult expeditions in Nepal. The climbers need to have good skills on rock and ice climbing and technically competent. On most parts of the routes there will be fixed rope, however, the climbers should posses skills to climb through steep rock and hard water ice

As with Mt. Everest, the best climbing months are April–May (before the monsoon) and September–October

Day 6: Trek from Namche to either Phorche ,Tangboche or Dibuche

Day 7: Trek from these places to Dingboche

Day 8:  Dingboche to island peak bacecamp

Day 9: From basecamp to island peak high camp

Day 10:  Summit island peak and back to Chukng

Day 11: Chukung to amadablam basecamp

Day 12: Through Day 12 to 25 climbing duration

Day 26: Back to basecamp and Namchebazar

Day 27: Namchebazar to Phakding

Day 28: Phakding to Lukla

Day 29: Fly back to Kathmandu

Day 30: Final departure
